The Bloch and Wohl Families unite the Bacharach and Oppenheim families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Henlen Bloch was born circa 1584, and she died on December 26, 1643, at\u00a0Battonnstra\u00dfe Jewish cemetery, Frankfurt am Main. Her gravestone is shown below:<\/p>\n\n\n

Henlen married Samuel (Schmul) Mendel Bacharach<\/a>. Their daughter Edel married Simon Wolf Oppenheim<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacob Bloch (J\u00fckkel Bloh), zu Bruchsal was the father of Henlen Bloch. Jacob was born circa 1550 at Bruchsal, Karlsruhe, Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg. He died circa 1610 Frankfurt am Main.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mordechai L\u00f6b Leib Wohl died in 1624. He was known by the designation “zum weissen Schwan”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His father was Leib (also known as Jehuda Lejb) Wohl and mother Rechlin Wohl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mordechai married Telzche Bloch, the daughter of Jacob Bloch, zu Bruchsal and the sister of the above Henlen<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The son of Mordechai and Telzche \u2013 David Marx Wohl \u2013 married Sarlin Anschel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their daughter Blume Wohl married Abraham Oppenheim, Zur Kanne<\/a>.  The grandmother of Blume was Henlen Bloch. The grandmother of Abraham Oppenheim was Telzche Bloch. Thus Blume Wohl and Abraham Oppenheim were second cousins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jacob Bloch was associated with Bruchsal, a town in Germany. However, it’s important to note that he likely did not originate from there. Records indicate that there were no Jews in Bruchsal from the late 14th century until the 1590s or early 1600s due to an expulsion. However, even if he did reside in Bruchsal, things got uncomfortable enough for Jacob to eventually move to Frankfurt am Main where his daughters were residing. Jacob Bloch died in Frankfurt around 1610.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Naftali Herz David Wohl, zum weissen Schwanen, was the brother of Blume Wohl. He died on May 06, 1707 at Vienna, Austria. Some details of his grave can be seen on the image below.<\/p>\n\n\n
