The Spielmann appears here because Adam Spielmann married Marian Samuel the daughter of Louis Samuel and niece of Moses Samuel<\/a>. One of Adam’s first partner in business was Jonas Reis<\/a> who had married Moses’ daughter Marian Samuel. Adam Spielmann (1812-1869), had emigrated from Schokken (now Skoki), near Posen (now Poznan) with his two of brothers. They were the sons of Lewin (Judah) Spielmann of Shocken (now Skoki), near Posen (now Poznan) and of Michelle Meyer. Adam emigrated to England circa 1828. Marian Samuel was born 17 August 1845 at 46, Paradise Street, Liverpool and died on 19 June 1858, at 7 Mecklenburgh Square, London and buried at West Ham.<\/p>\n\n\n

Spielmann, aged 4, duaghters Amelia Spielmann aged 3 and Dora Spielmann aged 2 Months, all born in London, Middlesex, Samuel Montague, brother in law, Clerk, aged 18 born in Liverpool, George Smith, Clerk, and two servants: Elizabeth Fletcher 21 and Sophia Sharp 20. Also included is an 18 year old nephew who is a Banker’s Clerk – Abraham Kulb alos born in Prussia. <\/p>\n\n\n
